Domain readability test
Check if your domain idea is physically annoying to type on a phone.
Why mobile thumb travel matters
When you say your website name on a podcast, listeners often type it directly into their phone browser while walking or driving. If your domain name requires their thumb to wildly jump from the `Q` key to the `P` key and back to the `Z`, they are highly likely to make a typo and give up.
This tool calculates the exact spatial distance between the letters in your domain on a standard mobile virtual keyboard. A lower average distance means the letters are grouped closely together, creating a smooth, fast swiping or typing experience.
The danger of double letters
Names with repeating letters (like `successstream.com`) frequently cause confusion. When someone hears the name spoken aloud, they do not know if they should type the letter once or twice.
Avoid double letters whenever possible. If you must use a brand name with them, consider registering the misspelled version (e.g. `successtream.com`) and redirecting it to your main site to catch lost traffic.
