BenOpt (https://benopt.com) is designed to be simple: you use tools in the browser; requests go to our servers and to public DNS/RDAP endpoints to produce a result. This page summarizes what that implies for information.

What you type in. Domain strings you submit are sent over HTTPS to process a check or appraisal. They are not used to build a public directory of “domains people searched,” and the app does not implement a logged-in user database for this workflow. Standard hosting logs may still see request metadata as part of operating the service.

Hosting and logs. The site runs on Cloudflare (and related edge infrastructure). That environment typically processes technical data such as IP address, user agent, URLs, and timestamps for security, reliability, and abuse prevention. Retention and detail depend on Cloudflare’s controls and configuration.

Third-party resolvers and registries. When you run a check, our servers query public DNS-over-HTTPS providers and, where applicable, RDAP services operated by registries or their delegates. Those parties receive the query names needed to answer the request, under their own policies.

Cookies and accounts. BenOpt does not require an account to use the tools described on the marketing pages. Routine browser storage or provider cookies may still exist as part of normal web delivery (for example security or load balancing on our host). There is no “log in to BenOpt” product surface here.

Email. If you email us, we receive your address and message content to reply and to handle support or abuse reports.

Advertising (including Google AdSense). We may show display advertising on BenOpt in the future, including through Google AdSense. At times you may see no ads at all; this page still describes what applies when ads are enabled. When advertising runs, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads, limit how often you see an ad, and show ads that may be more relevant to your interests (where permitted by law). This processing is governed by those partners’ policies, not only by BenOpt. Learn how Google uses data from partner sites and apps in Google’s partner sites policy . You can manage Google ad personalization at Google Ad Settings . In some regions you can also opt out of interest-based ads from participating companies via aboutads.info (US) or Your Online Choices (EU). Where required (for example the EEA, UK, or Switzerland), we will ask for consent before loading non-essential advertising or analytics cookies.

Children. The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them for marketing.

Your choices. You can limit what you send (do not paste sensitive personal data into domain fields). For privacy requests related to BenOpt, contact us at the email above. We may need to verify requests where applicable law requires it.

Changes. This notice may be updated; the date at the top will change when it is.
